Welcome to Eartrumpet, the site of musician, composer and media sound artist Roger Mills.
Roger Mills has worked internationally as a composer, sound designer, and writer since 1987. Credits include Hindsight - Ignition Films and the score for BAFTA award winning dance theatre performance At Swim Two Boys by Earthfall, Wales, UK.
Writing and producing recorded albums under various guises for Cup Of Tea Records, Incidental and Milk Recordings in the UK, he has also remixed tracks for British electro rockers Kosheen. Other featured tracks include his collaboration with Grantby on Mo Wax's Headz 2 and Creative Vibes 'Evolutionary Vibes III', featured as album of the week on ABC Tripple J, Sydney.
As label engineer and Musical Director for UCM Productions, he produced and performed on the widely acclaimed albums, Kul / Ashes and Sala by Turkish singer Mircan Kaya, as well her recent collaborations with British post jazz quintet Limbo. Other notable trumpet performances include Dominic Scherrers' score for the ITV (UK) series Jerico.
A media, sound artist and researcher, he is also the editor / curator of the online experimental music / sound art magazine and net label Furthernoise.org. He lectures in audio production at University Technology, Sydney, as well as researching remote improvisation in networked audio platforms as an HDR student in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
Performances and exhibitions include Medi@terra, Athens, Sonic Circuits, Washington DC, Plac.Art.X headphones festival, Regensburg, Germany, Don't Look Gallery, Sydney, and Loop Space Gallery, Newcastle, Australia.
